Spring Has Sprung At The Carlsbad Flower Fields

Ahh…spring time!!! Flowers in bloom and warm weather. I love it! Living in Southern California has its downsides like loads of driving and traffic but it also has its perks as well, like warm weather and beaches. Living in almost year-round sunshine, I tend to forget about seasons. Luckily there are a few reminders that seasons do exist here, like flowers. I was down south in San Diego last week and drove by the Carlsbad Flower Fields. I didn’t stop at this time but I did go several years ago and thought I would finally share some of my photos.

HELPFUL GENERAL TRAVEL TIPS

- Travel Insurance: Having gotten sick on my travels in the past, I never travel without being insured. You never know when something may happen. Recently, I found my Carlsbad Flower Fields photos on an old hard drive of mine. These were the first photos that I took after buying my Canon DSLR. The flower fields was a perfect place to test out my new camera. While loads of photos I took did not turn out, there are some of the handful that did. And no I did not shoot in auto!!!

The Carlsbad Flower Fields are a great place to go for families!
If you’re in the San Diego area and love flowers, I recommend a visit especially if you like to shoot photos. I love flowers and the Carlsbad Flower Fields are filled with giant Tecolote Ranunculus. The field normally runs from early March through to early May. Check their website for more information.
