Lewis N Clark Heavy-Duty Dry Bag

Lewis N Clark Dry Bag
When I was travelling on my round the world trip, one thing that I didn’t have and wished I did was a dry bag. I spent so much time on the water and on boats and there were moments, like at Maya Bay in Thailand, when I left my good camera because of fear of the water. If I had a dry bag, I could have had even better shots!

  • Flights: Find a cheap flight using Skyscanner or Momondo. I like these two booking sites because they both search all websites and airlines around the globe including budget airlines.
  • Accommodations: I use Booking.com or Tripadvisor to find the best rates on hotels. Hotels.com offers a free night after booking 10 nights.
  • Get up to $40 off your first Air Bnb stay by using this code!
  • Travel Insurance: Having gotten sick on my travels in the past, I never travel without being insured. You never know when something may happen. For my round the world trip and extended long-term travel, I use World Nomads. For other trips, I have used Roam Right and they cover activities like extreme sports.

Lewis N Clark’s heavy-duty dry bag can be carried around in different ways as well as attached to other gear. When I was on my trip to Georgia, I stuffed my camera gear into it while I was kayaking on Betty’s Branch. It would be great if you go stand up paddleboarding, snorkelling, and any activities on the water when you want to protect your things.

Here are some of its features:

• Welded waterproof seams
• 2 D-rings for easy attachment
• Removable shoulder strap
• Side grab handle
• Durable dual-coated 600D mesh PVC
• Easy roll-top closure forms a watertight seal

**The crazy thing about this Georgia trip was that 2 people dropped their phones in the water while we were out. I was super stoked to have my gear protected.

Waterseals Multipurpose Pouch

Lewis N Clark Waterseals Multipurpose Pouch

I have had phone cases in the past that are waterproof but my problem is that I switch up phones pretty often. With this pouch, I wouldn’t worry about the size of my phone plus you could put other gear in it like an MP3 player, small camera, as well as ID and credit/ATM cards. You can bring the pouch under water up to 9 feet. This is perfect for the beach when you want to leave your towel and cool off in the water! The price on this is really great at about $10US.

An example of when I could have used this on my round the world trip was during Songkran or Thai New Year when everyone splashes water at you and any gear that is not protected is not safe!

Here are some of its features:

• Submergible and waterproof up to 9 feet/3 meters
• Built-in UV Protectant with anti-frost, anti-dust, and sand-proof material
• Protects camera, phone/PDA, MP3 player, credit cards, money, ID and other accessories
• Use as PDA or take photos through the clear window
• Great at the pool, waterpark, beach, campground, and on cruises
• Ideal for traditional boating, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, and snorkelling

Lewis N Clark Compression Packers – 3 Pack

Compression Packers

Since my round the world trip I have used packing cubes for all trips and consider myself a prophet of their usefulness. LNC sent over these compression packers and I’m kind of in love.  In early April I went to NYC for a couple of days for a conference and only wanted to pack a carry-on for the trip. Space was going to be tight since I knew I would be coming back with conference materials and I had to have multiple outfits for the events along with some workout clothes for the gym. These compression packers were amazing. I was able to squeeze everything in and since I was staying in a hotel, I knew I would have access to an iron. These are definitely a new travel product jam! I like these too because you don’t need a vacuum to suck out the air. You just roll it and squeeze the air out.

Here are some features:
• Protects against dirt, insects, moisture and odours
• Stow in luggage, gym bag, briefcase or drawer
• Air expels through a one-way valve
• Wipes clean easily
• Great for dirty or wet clothes
• 3-pack set includes one of each of the following:
Small: 20in x 14in
Medium: 23in x 16in
Large: 28in x 18in

Lewis N Clark Latex Clothesline

So someone is a bit of a fitness junkie these days. Wherever I am, I try to get a workout in. Whether that’s a workout in a hotel room or hike outside, I try to incorporate fitness even when I’m on the road. During last month’s travel conference, I woke up to get a short workout in. But that also means stinky, sweaty workout clothes. Not to mention I wasn’t trying to pack 5 days worth of fitness gear. So what did I do? I washed my gear in my sink and with this handy dandy clothesline, my quick dry gym gear was dry by the next day!

Latex Clothesline

Here are some features:

• Triple-braided design grips clothing without clothespins
• Latex tubing stretches to 6ft
• Adjustable straps attach to towel bars, shower heads, hooks, doorknobs, window latches, etc.
• Includes suction cups for attachment to shower stalls and walls

Lewis N Clark 3-1-1 Carry-On Toiletry Pouch

I don’t know about you but I hate using Ziploc bags for my 3-1-1 bag for flying. They tear or break easily which sucks if you travel a lot since you need to replace them all the time. I prefer to use sturdier ones like this one by LNC. It’s cute and sturdy and accepted by TSA!

Lewis N Clark Travel Sentry Combo Lock With Cable

Do you know when this would be awesome to use also?? An overnight train ride? One of my friends had his backpack by his feet and his bag was stolen during the night. If he locked it up to his seat, he would have avoided this scenario. Soooo all you overnight train goers…this one is for you!

Lewis N Clark WEA RFID Blocking Tote

I’m always trying out new bags because I’m kind of a bag addict. This WEA RFID tote is great for different purposes. It can be used as a work bag or for the gym or for a weekend away. I’m currently using this as my gym tote because I schlep around things like ankle weights, mini bands, a skipping rope, runners, cycle shoes and extra headphones. I know a lot of stuff!

The inside pockets can fit a laptop and other gear and protect your passport and credit cards from RFID signals. I don’t know much about this but if I can save myself the hassle of being a target of a crime, I’m all for it.
