HELPFUL GENERAL TRAVEL TIPS
- Flights: Find a cheap flight using Skyscanner or Momondo. I like these two booking sites because they both search all websites and airlines around the globe including budget airlines.
- Accommodations: I use Booking.com or Tripadvisor to find the best rates on hotels. Hotels.com offers a free night after booking 10 nights.
- Get up to $40 off your first Air Bnb stay by using this code!
- Travel Insurance: Having gotten sick on my travels in the past, I never travel without being insured. You never know when something may happen. For my round the world trip and extended long-term travel, I use World Nomads. For other trips, I have used Roam Right and they cover activities like extreme sports.

Let’s begin with my Oscars Experience:
The most important things at the Oscars are obviously the winners so without the company that tallies up the votes and handles the ballots, it wouldn’t be an event. The woman below is from Price Waterhouse Coopers, the accounting firm that handles the ballots and she’s one of the two people who know who the winners are before the rest of the world.

The lady in the gown, Martha L. Ruiz, from PWC
This man is the other person from PWC who knows who the winners are. They had serious security!

Brian Cullinan from PWC

And that concludes my Oscars Red Carpet Experience. I want to thank United Airlines again for bringing me along. It was such a cool experience to see what happens on the red carpet and to be a part of one of the biggest days of the year in Hollywood. I see celebrities regularly living in Los Angeles but this was just next level!!!

Omg, I love adrian brody! And ed norton! Obviously, because my movie tastes date back to the 90’s–if they’ve made it in the last two decades, I don’t know who they are. I do know Chris Pratt because of Parks & Rec, one of my all time favorite TV shows! Great shots, lady!
I’ve seen Adrian Brody at Rock n Roll Ralph’s on Sunset buying groceries!! There were some people who I didn’t know but people around us were screaming out names. I still have to look at photos in case I missed some people!
Ha! I would have gone crazy seeing Oprah. Like stage 9 clinger crazy. Like call security and the Secret Service crazy…lol. Great post :)
Thanks Danielle! Hahaha I would love to see you near Oprah…that would be amazing.
