Sudio Ett: Noise-Cancelling Earbuds

Hey there friends! How are you? It has been a while since I last posted here and so much has changed since then. I am guessing that like myself, you are currently quarantined or sheltering in place somewhere around the world. At the moment I am safe and quarantined with my good friends slash housemates in Northern San Diego. My favourite headphone company Sudio was kind enough to send me a pair of new noise-cancelling earbuds, the Ett model, so I have spent the last week testing them out.

**Disclaimer: Many thanks to Sudio for sending these earbuds to test. As always, opinions expressed are solely my own.**

HELPFUL GENERAL TRAVEL TIPS

  • Flights: Find a cheap flight using Skyscanneror Momondo. I like these two booking sites because they both search all websites and airlines around the globe including budget airlines.
  • Accommodations: I use Booking.com or Tripadvisor to find the best rates on hotels. Hotels.com offers a free night after booking 10 nights.
  • Get up to $40 off your first Air Bnb stay by using this code!
  • Travel Insurance: Having gotten sick on my travels in the past, I never travel without being insured. You never know when something may happen. For my round the world trip and extended long-term travel, I use World Nomads. For other trips, I have used Roam Right and they cover activities like extreme sports.

After I received my new noise-cancelling earbuds, I tested out the Etts out for a week. They come with several tip attachments so they fit comfortably in my ears. I sized them to fit just right and even though I did things like burpees and jumped rope, they didn’t fall out. After wearing them for several hours, I can say they were comfortable and caused no issues.

Jumping rope with Etts in my ear. They stay in!

After testing them for a week now, I can say that the sound is fantastic. There are two modes for sound, one where you can hear subtle background noise, and then active noise-cancelling mode where almost all outside sound is blocked out. When I worked out in the backyard, I couldn’t hear my neighbour’s dog which barks a lot. I also tested them in the evening when my housemates were watching television. I couldn’t hear the tv at all. Then I wore them while I typed this blog post and all I heard was my music. They have a microphone so when I made a call on my phone, I was able to speak to the person on the other side of the line.

Another thing that I like about Sudio Ett is the colour. For a while, I was considering the Airpod Pros but I am a bit tired of the whole white Apple look so I am happy to have a pair of sleek black noise-cancelling earbuds. They are simple and stylish and the sound is great and the price is affordable.

Simple and stylish and great sound with noise-cancellation!

One last thing that is pretty important. The Sudio Etts are water-resistant. I can already attest to this because the other day I leaned over the sink and before I sized the silicone tips to my ears, I accidentally knocked the Etts out and they fell into the sink full of water. I quickly scooped them out and they are still working great without any issues. So yes, they are water-resistant (sweat/rain/splash proof)!!!
