Sunscreen And Sun Protection | My Favorite Sun Products That I Use Daily
Sunscreen. Do you wear sunscreen religiously? When I was younger I guess you could call me a tanaholic. Laying out in the sun and getting bronzed is what I did in the summer. When I didn’t know any better, I even used to go into tanning beds. My face and body are sun damaged from the past but now I am trying to take better care of my skin.

Living in California for the last fourteen years, I learned early on that I get colour even when I am not at the beach or laying out. When I walk to the car, go to the outdoor mall, and even when I’m driving. The sun’s rays are beating down on my skin. Even when it’s cloudy I get a tan. The makeup I have been wearing has sunscreen in it and luckily I’ve been using it for over 20 years.
Lately, I have been making sure that everything I put on me has sunscreen in it so that I have one less step to do and so that I am protected at all times. This past winter I spent 3 months based in Madrid. Even though it was cold, it was mostly sunny. Spain is so sunny! I made sure to use sunscreen all the time. My moisturizer and foundation tend to have sunscreen or I will add some sunscreen drops to them if they don’t. My mother never went into the sun. If she did she was always covered up and she looked fabulous well into her 70s. I want to be just like her.

My Favorite Sunscreen Items That I Use Daily
Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence
Lubriderm Daily Moisture Lotion SPF 15 Moisturizer With Sunscreen
This body lotion with sunscreen is awesome. This was given to me as a press sample but I’m almost out and ready to buy a new bottle. Although I prefer a higher SPF in everything, I love using this is for moisturizing my body and it’s one less step for me since it has SPF already in the lotion. When I’m outdoors walking the dog or hiking, I will put something stronger on but I love having some SPF in everything I put on my body and face so I’m always protected. It’s rich yet it’s not greasy at all!! It really sinks into my skin.
Heliocare 360° Gel Oil-free SPF 50 UVA, UVB Sunscreen
Heliocare is a sunscreen brand I came across in Spain. It was in my local farmacia and I went home to read up on it. The reviews looked good and I liked that it’s oil free. So far it’s great and it doesn’t give off a white cast on my face. I picked it up in Spain but it’s also available on Amazon.
